Jeremiah 29:11-13

"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart."

Yes, we have to stop so many times and count our blessings.

At one point earlier in this year, I was looking at the house I live in thinking of how much work it needed to be restored to a condition it once was. I was getting depressed and was beginning to think in terms of "boy, this place is falling apart."

I got my attitude changed real fast! The Lord caught my attention and started showing how much I had done to the house. Many things were small things, but still they are steps in getting the bigger picture completed. I have a roof over my head that does not leak now (PTL!) and that's more than what a lot of people have.

Don't take life for granted! Every breath that you breathe is a gift from God! Every sunrise and sunset you see is a gift from God! There are many, many people who went out into eternity today who will never draw another breath. There are blind people who will never see a sunrise or sunset. Be thankful for what God has given you!

Nice reply Ron.And God does have a way of getting our attention about things doesn't he? The more I seek to do right instead of ignoring His voice the more He convicts me.I especially liked your last paragraph.:)
Lately I have been thinking more and more about all the little blessings and things to I should be thankful for. You're right, life is a gift.

It's amazing what He's given us for sure! This morning I woke up with light shining through the bedroom and assumed the sun had risen and we were getting the first light. I looked at the clock and found it was only a little after 4:00 AM and realized that was the full moon shining through-how beautiful!
