Well on Monday I set out to learn some Turkish. I found a great little site that has lessons, tests, forums, and chat.The people there are so friendly, and willing to help you learn their language.So far I've learned that being from a different language family, the words and sentence structure are totally opposite. This makes it rather fun to learn as you have to approach it from a way different angle.One thing I find neat is that each letter only has one sound, compared to English that has many sounds for each letter.So if I once learn how to pronouce them, it will be fairly easy to sound out words.Now putting them in a sentence is another story altogether..

- I'm a Canadian who was raised in a Christian home and saved through gospel tent meetings at the age of twelve.Since then I've had an increasing desire to put my life into ministry and avoid the trap of North America's materialistic thinking. Talking to people, trying to help them, and engaging in deep theological discussions are somethings I enjoy. Yet one of the coolest things to me is the simple faith of a child, looking at me in awe as I describe the nature or acts of God. I love music and you will always find me listening to it or singing along when no one is around. I am somewhat adventurous and this shows itself in sporadic trips to far away places. Teasing my friends is an enjoyable pasttime, yet I also find that I learn a lot from them. :) Most importantly I want to make my life count by spending it for God, so that at the end of my life I can look back and see that though I have failed Him so many times, His will was done in me.
